Tom & Alice Mason, Owners, Eve's Cheese LLC, Kent County, MD
Solomon Meyer, Cheesemaker & Farmer, Shalom Farm, Berks County, PA

As dairy farms across the country face a major crisis, many dairies are considering processing their milk into cheese, instead of relying on an uncertain fluid milk market. But making the switch to cheesemaking can be daunting. In Maryland, many dairies have chosen to focus on producing good milk and work with a cheesemaker in another state to produce the cheese. Some farmers do want to make their own cheese, yet face obstacles in state regulations. Come hear personal stories from a panel of farmers, including Chapel's Country Creamery, the first farm in Maryland's Raw Milk Pilot program, followed by plenty of time for discussion and questions.
