Home Farm Home Farm offers USDA certified organic, Certified Humanely Raised and Handled, pasture-based meat and poultry products. Many products are from heritage breeds and local Virginia farms, including Ayrshire Farm in Upperville. James & Miriam Showalter Heartland Harvest sells beef, pork, lamb, turkey, chicken, and eggs. The poultry is seasonal, all other products are available year-round. 42. Martha Mewbourne Thorntree Farm sells beef and lamb. Beef is dry-aged 21-24 days,
vacuum-packed and frozen, and available in wholes, halves or

Blue Ridge Center’s Blue Ridge Center’s Mountain View Farm sells pasture-raised lamb, lamb sausage, chicken, eggs and heritage turkeys. Animals are raised without added hormones and are never fed antibiotics. We emphasize heritage breeds that are more adapted to a grass-based lifestyle. Pastures are chemical free. We sell frozen lamb by the cut and as sausage. Whole broilers are available from June through November. Whole fresh heritage turkeys are available for Thanksgiving. (CSA) program. The Burkholders avoid medication and antibiotics 46. Rebecca Brown and Cliff Miles Mount Vernon Farm raises 100% grass-fed beef and lab and chemical- free pastured pork and eggs. The livestock (many of which are heritage breeds) are rotationally grazed and raised without synthetic hormones, vaccines or antibiotics. The meat is processed humanely and marketed through farmer’s markets, buyer’s clubs, mail order and from the farm. 47.
