Future Harvest is really blossoming this year! With new board energy, an energized membership, and wonderful new staff, our organization is ready to do great things in 2010. Practically speaking, that means continuing to host an outstanding annual conference, organizing more hands-on field days, connecting with sustainable agriculture non-profits throughout the Chesapeake region, and getting involved in food policy issues that matter most to our members. As we do this work, we know that our members, local sustainable farmers throughout the Chesapeake region, are our first priority. As farmers, we want to become more profitable, more sustainable, and more connected with the countless consumers who want our products! Future Harvest is dedicated to helping farmers achieve these goals, and we hope to double our membership this year by reaching out to more farmers and consumers who care about local, healthy food and agriculture. With our newfound momentum, capable and committed staff, motivated membership, and inspired consumer base, Future Harvest is on the cusp of great things this year. Join us!
