We held a special farmers market with Farmhouse Flowers and FireFly Farms. It was a busy day and we made over $6,000! To learn more about 5% Days, click here.

New Social Networking group for Future Harvest-CASA
We've created a group on the site NEFOOD (the Northeast Food and Farming Network) just for Future Harvest-CASA members. This group will allow members to share info, ask questions and network with each other.

Check out the Maryland Grazers Network, a new mentorship program that pairs experienced livestock or dairy grazers with farmers who want to learn new grazing skills. The Network is a program of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Future Harvest Board Member Ray Weil, a soil professor at the University of Maryland, is collaborating with a team of  Cornell University researchers in testing a new way to analyze soil health by measuring physical, biological and chemical indicators. Learn more about how you can get your soil health tested as part of the study.

Future Harvest CASA and Edible Chesapeake Magazine Collaboration 
Future Harvest-Chesapeake Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture (CASA) and Edible Chesapeake magazine have formed a partnership to facilitate two-way communication between Future Harvest-CASA's members in Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia and Pennsylvania, and Edible Chesapeake readers in and around Baltimore.
