The Landowner's Survival Guide: Resources for Agricultural Landowners in MD, VA, and WV (last updated 2002) is a 60-page resource packed with user-friendly information on increasing farm income, how to start and succeed in farming, as well as offering a section on organic growing and pastured animal production.  It also offers the agricultural land owner guidance in stewardship and conservation.

Each chapter provides not only general information, but also where to go to find grants and financial assistance, publications, people who can help, and web/internet resources.
