This month, we'll connect with Dr. Nadine Burton-Stubbs who is the Alternative Crop Specialist for the Small Farm Outreach Program with University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Nadine will speak to her experience with growing alternative crops such as callaloo, sorrel and scotch bonnet peppers, all high-valued crops with high yield and value-added potential, which can increase farm income.

The Maryland Advanced Grazing Workshop will be held over two days on October 14-15, 2021 at the Western Maryland Research and Education Center in Keedysville, MD from 8 AM to 5 PM each day. This advanced grazing workshop will dive deeper into the principles behind grazing practices and increasing farm profitability, giving producers the tools and insights they need to improve their business.
